Mondays are not complete without a HIMYM fix. Bummer. Though 90 minutes of In Treatment make up for it. Well, not really, because I'm still missing my laughs, but In Treatment! Back! Awesome! And I really liked sunday's episodes. It's shaping up to be a great season. I'm gonna miss Sophie, though. But I really really liked April.
Still on the topic of shows that are back: Greek! Such a fun guilty pleasure. *And* My Boys! Whoohooo! Though I don't care much for the couple that got together (don't wanna say who so I don't spoil anyone).
And wanna know what I already miss? Being Erica. A lot. When will it be back anyway?

Right. I've been sitting on this for a while now. First because I was still bitter over season 3, then over the cancellation, then I traveled, then I never had the time, then I never had the inspiration... Cutting the chase, it's here. It started out as a compilation of the music that reminded me of them (both featured on the show or not). So that's why for the first time one of my fanmixes has music that was actually on the show. The order was given a while ago, and I just thought better not to mess with it, or I would end up not posting. I also feel like the art could be better, but again, I'm in a mood to just get things done. So here we go.

Nov. 23rd, 2008 02:30 amum. It's been almost a month, guys. How did that happen?
dois. I guess I've been super busy with my masters selection process. The first phase was this huge test which is, as a teacher of mine put it, "designed to fail people". Thankfully I was not one of them, because I managed to pass it. Now I'm in the second stage, which is an analysis of my project and my curriculum and an interview. My interview is schedule for Tuesday and I'm already kinda nervous, especially considering I've been sick lately. Got a stupid flu. The worst part is, though, that my voice is pretty much disappearing. How great is that for an interview? "Hey, I can't talk right now, but if you still feel like making me questions I will answer all of them in writing". Yeah, right.
três. Oh, I've also joined a gym! I hate gyms, but I still haven't been able to loose the pounds I put on in Europe, so I have got to do something. Can't see much of a difference yet, but it hasn't even been a month yet, so.
quatro. I can't believe we lost Pushing Daisies *and* Eli Stone in the same day. It's tragic, really.
cinco. Wow, I just realised... only my monday shows will be left? Until, you know, stuff on hiatus come back. But still, it's weird. Oh, no, there's still Friday Night Light. By the way, how much am I loving this season? It's like s1 all over again.

(a) Sex and the City reruns entered the Aidan era and, man, I had completly forgotten how much I *loved* him. I want my own personal Aidan so bad right now.
(b) I've watched some post-Emmy nominations interviews and now I think Kristin Chenoweth is the cutest little girl ever. She seems so graceful in every interview I saw.
(c) I have to create 5 sitcom storylines by sunday, except I hate the characters so I can't come up with anything. How great.
(d) My paper won't write itself, and it's due in 5 days. That's just swell as well.
(e) Psych tonight! Woohoo!
(f) Dr Horrible act 3 will be out in a couple of minutes. I don't want it to end. :(

I caught an episode on a few weeks ago, then I watched a couple more and now that I have my new super internet conection I've downloaded the whole season and I'm marathoning it. Right now I've just finished episode 10, which is exactly the first one I watched on TV. Anyway, I'm surprisingly really into the show.
(ii) Next in line: In Treatment. I was pretty intrigued by the synopsis and I've started downloading the entire season as well. I just was not expecting so many episodes!
(iii) Yesterday I went out with the girls from this writing class I'm taking. It was so so nice. God, I miss hanging out with friends so much. Hope we start hanging out more often.
(iv) Speaking of hanging out... I need a life so bad. I need to meet people, make new friends, and go out more. I just have no idea how to do that in a city where I know pretty much no one. That sucks.
(v) Starting tomorrow, I'm gonna force myself to work out. I'll see if there is power at the downstares mini-gym, because then I could just take my laptop and watch a couple of episodes of whatever show while a exercise a bit. Sounds like a good plan to me.

You see, before I left Brasil I decided I wouldn't be downloading stuff while I was in Europe --- well, maybe only Heroes and How I Met Your Mother --- and I could just download everything once I got home. But the school wireless in Switzerland was so good I decided, you know, oh, maybe just my summer shows (Psych and My Boys)... and then one day I downloaded Burn Notice and, you know, that was fun too... And then I moved to Paris, the season started, and the wireless was not that bad and now... well, I might as well just make it official.

Is it too bad that, when I entered a church and saw all the glass window's shadows in the floor, I immediatly thought of Mars Investigations?
I bought my plane tickets today! Yay! Well, at least the big ones (meaning the getting to Europe and getting back ones).
So I leave July 18th and I come back on February 4th. And right now it feels good. :)
Plus, my internet is working in full-mode and I've already downloaded both episodes I was missing of Studio 60 in about 2 hours, so all is right with the world today. Heee!

Jun. 10th, 2007 07:28 pmI've got a flu. Because I'm stupid. You see, my throut was hurting. I didn't think that could be the begining of a cold, so I took a flu shot. And then the next day I woke up sick. Great thinking, really.
So I spent the last couple of days pretty much laying on a sofa and watching movies and tv shows. Yeah.
I guess the best thing I did was watching the whole season of Friday Night Lights, which I've been meaning to do for a while but never found the time. Well, all I had these days was time. Though I guess that the fact that I watched the whole season in 2 days is a great testament to the series --- I really was just that hooked.
Now my dad is watching a sports show and I can't be bothered to watch that, so I'm trying to spend a little time doing something else. I'm just not sure how long I'll manage to stay in this chair, though.

So, the TV season is over. Most of the finales where underwhelming, though. Oh well. I'm not in much of a TV discussing mood anyway, so I guess I'll just let it be.
Oh, I watched Pirates of the Caribbean 3 and, honestly... I didn't like it. For me, the first one was completly awesome, the second was kinda good, but this third was just okay. Bummer. I was so looking foward to it.
Vanessa da Mata's concert tonight! Woohoo! That's gonna be fun.

Apr. 4th, 2007 12:32 amYou know what I love the most about mid-seasons? Getting hooked on old shows I never watched and watching whole seasons on one sitting (well, not really, but real fast anyway). The feeling of not having to waiting until next week, or, even better, not having to worry about whether or not it will be canceled (because more often than not, you already know it has been) is just so liberating. Yeah. That's how I got to experiment some of my favorite shows to date, such as My So-Called Life and Freaks & Geeks. And now, it's time for a new discovery: how have I not heard of Slings & Arrows before? Seriously? I have just watched the whole first season today and it's just perfect and so so me. I have no words for it, except that the whole thing is so much like me I feel almost as if I could have come up with it, or, better yet, that someone just made it for me. Egocentric, much? C'mon, that's not how I mean it, it's just that it's too pefect for words, really.
Second season, here I come tomorrow.
Now I really really need a Slings & Arrows icon, like stat!
